| CAREGIVERS PLACEMENT SERVICES
We are a Nanny/Caregiver placement agency serving families who are in need of quality care concerning children, the elderly and individuals with special needs or disabilities.
Our Nanny/Caregivers are mostly Filipinos who are currently working as nannies, nurses, midwives, teachers, phisiotherapists from different countries such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia and Philippines. They are professionals, well-experienced, hard working and dedicated people to meet your needs.
OUR SERVICES
We will prepare your application for Labour Market Opinion (LMO) to be filed at the Human Resources and Skills Development of Canada (HRSDC). We prepare job offer and/or contract regarding wages and working conditions as per Employment Standards Act.
We assist to calculate and prepare payroll. We will provide a cost estimate calculation to give an idea of how much an employer will spend to hire a Live-In Caregiver whether 6, 7 or 8 hours work per day as full time. The prevailing minimum wage set by HRSDC in Ontario is $9.25 per hour, room and board is $85.25 per week or $369.42 maximum per month (to be taken off from the Nanny/Caregiver’s pay) as per Employment Standards Act.
As soon as the HRSDC approves the application for LMO, the agency will forward to the prospective Caregiver the necessary documents that he or she will need to apply for a work permit. The Caregiver may attend an interview at the Canadian Consulate office or embassy, have a medical check-up, apply for a police clearance and pay appropriate fees. Once approved, a working visa will be issued and the Nanny/Caregiver will be ready to come to Canada. Processing usually takes from 3 to 6 months. So better plan ahead and it’s worth to wait especially for a mother who is going back from her maternity leave, for parents who are working shifts, for those who have twins or with 2 or more children and for those who live in rural areas.
We invite families living in Guelph and surrounding areas to come to our place to view the individual files of our Nanny/Caregiver applicants or may request that we come to your place on evenings and weekends.
For your convenience, the agency will pick-up the Nanny/Caregiver from the Toronto Airport, we keep them for a day or two to give them an orientation about the lifestyle in Canada, explain his or her duties and responsibilities, help them apply for an OHIP card, Social Insurance Number and open a bank account.
We do not charge agency fees for families hiring a Foreign Live-In Caregiver.
